The Family Life Minister is responsible for encouraging the spiritual growth of families through providing leadership, ministerial care, outreach and educational services. Qualification and/or Experience
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
Well grounded, mature, and married man with preferably a minimum of 5 years experience in a full-time ministerial position with a congregation of the Church of Christ.
Must have a healthy biblical doctrine and teaching, as well as mature in his faith and a strong spiritual discipline.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Families and Youth
Coordinate, direct, and interface with families and youth programs to include service projects.
Develop and implement a plan to visit and minister to families within the church.
Counsel and pray with families.
Facilitate family connectedness.
Equip or train those in leadership roles and prepare other members for greater involvement and outreach.
Ministry Development and Discipleship
Responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing the ministry programs of the church, specifically encouraging and involving members in Canyon’s ministry such as ministry fairs, developing strategies for growth, and leading the small group ministry.
Preach in senior minister’s absence and on other occasions as requested.
Support the elders and senior minister in the ministry of the church.
Help as needed with administrative tasks, special projects and campaigns, teaching, etc.
Lead Sunday morning classes for families and midweek Bible study for teens.
Worship
Organize celebrative, meaningful worship services.
Coordinate the church’s music ministry.

Notes: Description of Congregation: The Center Point Road Church of Christ has existed for over 100 years, and attendance is approximately 80 for Sunday mornings. To enable continued growth, four years ago the congregation moved into a new building with a seating capacity of at least 225. Although this new building is in a primarily rural area, it is located along an Interstate highway, and is only 5 miles from Cedar Rapids, a growing community of over 120,000 people (the second largest city in Iowa).
The congregation is actively engaged in the work of the Lord. Our most recent evangelistic effort was conducting a We Care Campaign. Over 40 of our members were involved during the 10-day campaign, including 25 who knocked doors as part of the evangelism teams. We had 12 baptisms as a result of this campaign. Notes: This position is for an established congregation on a Navajo Reservation in Shiprock New Mexico. The support is already raised and we are looking for someone to fill the position immediately. The nearest town of any size is Farmington, NM about 30 miles away. This is a unique positon and the minister who fills it will be best suited to be experienced in missions with no children in school. There is much poverty in this area and a great need for evangelism. This is a work that takes patience as souls are harder to win. There is a large charasmatic movement here which meshes well with the Navajo beliefs and is one of the greatest stumbling blocks.

Progressive church in suburban Seattle seeks a youth minister. The Northwest Church in Shoreline, Washington is looking for a dynamic leader who will inspire, teach, challenge, counsel, encourage, and call the young people of our communities to follow Jesus. While embracing a team approach to ministry, this passionate youth leader will be empowered to design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive youth ministry program while creating an atmosphere of deep partnership with parents, volunteers and other leaders. With deep roots in the Restoration Movement among both Churches of Christ and Christian Churches, the Northwest Church is emerging from recent transition with renewed mission and vision centered in shared leadership and missional community. A commitment to leadership development and missional purpose within the youth group is therefore primary. Worship leading in an instrumental setting is a plus.
